The Book of Acts: Lesson 3 - The Day Everything Changed
Over 3 million people filled the streets and alleyways of Jerusalem. This was the high point of the Jewish religious calendar. Many who were there had traveled from other nations to stay for the Passover and Pentecost, and their temporary vacation was about to end. Within days, there would be a great exodus from the city when mass caravans of pilgrims would begin their journey home.
Although they were completely unaware of it, by the sovereign plan of God, this was the final Pentecost. The beginning of a new age was only a few hours away. Early in the morning on the next day, the third person of the Godhead would powerfully descend from the throne of heaven. He would come and set up His residence in the hearts of those who place their faith in Jesus Christ. His coming would bring about the birth of the Church of Jesus Christ.
The second chapter of Acts is the story of that descent. Today, we’re going to revisit the events of that incredible day: The Day Everything Changed!
