The Virtues: Lesson 2 - Justice, "What Does the Lord Require?"

May 3, 2026    Brock Peters

We’re reminded this week that justice isn’t something we get to redefine based on what feels right or what culture says—it flows from the very character of God. And if we’re honest, it’s often easier to talk about justice than to actually live it, especially when it costs us something. But because Christ has justified us—because He took what we deserved and gave us His righteousness—we’re called to something deeper: to do what is right in our everyday choices, to love mercy when we’d rather hold a grudge, and to walk humbly with a constant awareness of our need for Him. True justice isn’t loud or self-righteous; it’s steady, obedient, and rooted in grace and truth. And our prayer is that our lives would reflect that—not just in what we say, but in how we think, love, and act every single day.

In His Service,
