Liz Peters

Care & Discipleship Coordinator

I'm the youngest of 3, and have great memories of growing up in a small Michigan town surrounded by cousins and church family. I remember asking my mom to pray with me to receive Jesus at age 6. Her prayer life, and the examples of many faithful believers in our church inspired me to be baptized at 15 and begin a journey of walking with Christ.

My college years were pivotal for spiritual growth. I asked the Lord to reveal himself to me and to make His Word my ultimate guide. Attending Intervarsity (campus ministry) introduced me to what a healthy community of believers looked like. I felt a call to ministry at that age, but wasn't sure what to do with that nudge. I ended up serving as a public school teacher for many years before joining the staff at City on a Hill as a volunteer, eventually serving everywhere from KidCity to Worship Team to the Admin Team. Service in ministry has not been without trials, but I love seeing the body of Christ mature and grow as we try to be more like Him.

I love serving alongside my husband as he enters seminary, and shepherding our 4 daughters in their teen years. All that being said, pray for endurance and encouragement for our family! We want to see the Gospel of Jesus go forward. His grace is life-changing, and we want to be used to share it!
